ZEMAX Network Licence Price and Purchase Information

ZEMAX-EE is now available in multiples of 5-User, 10-User, and 25-User Licenses. Network Licences may not be purchased online so please contact us for more information or a personal quotation.

Only ZEMAX-EE and not ZEMAX-SE, (or ZEMAX-XE which is now obselete) is available as a Network Licence.

The Network Licence costs $5000 per user-licence which is more than the cost of a single-user-licence due to the increased number of users who can access ZEMAX when on a network. The price includes a year of support, and a new manual for each license.

Single-user ZEMAX licences may be returned for 100% credit at their current sale value towards a Network Licence at a ratio of one for one. For example you could exchange 5 ZEMAX-EE single-user-licences (plus 5x the difference in cost between the single and Network Licence fee) for a 5-user Network Licence. You could not exchange 10 ZEMAX-SE single-user-licences for one 5-user Network Licence, but you could get credit for 5 ZEMAX-SEs towards your 5-user Network Licence. This may sound complex so please contact us with your requirements for a personal quotation.

Network Licence must all have the same support expiry date. The Network Licence ships with one year of support and upgrades for all licences. After one year the support fee is just {number of licences} x {support fee}. Either all licences have support or none have support, you may not renew support for just 5 licences of a 10 Network Licence for example.

Each network license can run two instances of ZEMAX on one machine, in the same manner as the single-user license.
