About Us

Optima Research is the European Distributor for ZEMAX, and provides sales of the software, support and training on its use.

The company was founded in 1994 as a distributor of photonic components (lenses, mounts, mirrors), measurement devices (thin film measurement, optical inspection, interferometers) and design tools (lens and thin film design).

We have supported ZEMAX since the company was founded and as a result we took the decision to specialise entirely on ZEMAX from 2004 onwards. 100% of our time is now devoted to supporting ZEMAX users.

All our technical staff have a minimum of an MSc in Optics, and many years experience of using ZEMAX.
