Optical glass catalogues
from Schott, Hoya, Ohara, Sumita and Corning are provided. Additional
catalogues are supplied which include infrared materials, plastics,
and natural materials such as silica. Birefringent material data
is also included.
The
catalogues include data for about 1000 materials, and include
dispersion, thermal, and other data.
Stock
lens catalogues from several major vendors are included. The stock
lens catalogues include components available from Spindler and
Hoyer, Newport, Edmund Scientific, and Melles Griot and many others.

The
screenshot above shows the Melles Griot™ catalogue being queried
to find a lens with specific properties. Once a list of candidate
lenses is produced, you can check the layout of the lens:

and
its detailed prescription. The screenshot above shows a LAL017
precision optimised achromat from the Melles-Griot™ catalog.
ZEMAX
also supports automatic test plate fitting. This feature automatically
adjusts an optical system to fit the tooling of a particular vendor,
and is an extremely good way of reducing the cost of a design.
Test plate lists are provided for several lens fabricators.
You
can create new glass, stock lens, and test plate catalogues
as desired, or you can add new data to the existing catalogues.
As many catalogues as desired may be created and maintained.
