This is a cross section of the wavefront of a Gaussian laser beam at a distance of one Rayleigh range. The phase shown indicates the Guoy phase shift of pi/4 radians at the center of the Gaussian beam. Note the high numerical precision even at low relative intensity at the edges of the beam.
