Optima Research is a European distributor of photonics tools and software. Our product range includes optical software, telecoms software, thin-film software and measuring equipment, and a wide range of photonic components.

As a distributor, we share information with our suppliers when you order a product (you may need to register a software product, for example) or have a technical enquiry. This is a normal business activity. We never make information you enter onto our site available to any other third party companies.

We do not sell mailing lists, or make our mailing lists available to any third parties for any purpose whatsoever.

Our Web Site

Whilst you are surfing the Optima Research site, our server will record information regarding pages visited, and your IP address. This information can not be used to identify individual users to our site and is never made available outside of Optima Research Ltd. Its purpose is to indicate numbers of visits, errors searching for pages, etc.

Request Forms

Our site uses several forms for you to register on courses, request information etc. These forms ask for your name, company name, your email address etc. We do not share this information with any other company.

On-Line Ordering

Our website allows you to generate your own quotation for any of our products, valid for 30 days. Your quotation is stored on your computer, as a cookie. No information about the products in your cookie can be transmitted to our server. The cookie is set to expire 5 hours after you leave our site.

Our site uses the well respected WorldPay system for taking payment by credit card. Your contact and billing information, such as Credit Card number, is collected on WorldPay's secure server. Information taken on the form is used to process and generate an order for your purchase of our products. Credit card information is not divulged outside of WorldPay, and we do not have access to it.

Search Engine

We use the excellent Atomz search engine to provide comprehensive search capabilities on each page of this site. No personal data is transmitted to Atomz when using the search engine.
